If You Are in an Accident, DO:

Call 911 for police and EMS assistance.

Render assistance if you are able, including medical aid if qualified.

Write down the name, address, phone number, & insurance information of the other driver(s).

Record the names of passengers involved in the accident.

Note the make, model, year & license plate number of the vehicle(s).

Give the other driver(s) your name, address, phone & insurance information.

Try to identify any possible witnesses to the accident. Try to get their names, addresses, & telephone numbers. If they do not want to get involved, take down their license plate information.
ACCIDENT CHECKLIST
If You Are in an Accident, DO NOT:
- Make any statement about what happened to anyone other than a police officer.
- Apologize no matter who is at fault.
- Sign anything by the other driver(s) about the accident.
- Argue with the other driver(s) about what happened.
- Repair your vehicle until an attorney can inspect and photograph it.
